Disability Pride is an every day thing for me, it’s my entire life.
How can we fight the stigma that ableism created if we don’t embrace our disability and our lives? If disabled souls aren’t embracing their disability and showing how capable the disabled can be, then abled bodied souls will always think becoming disabled is one of the worst things that could happen to them.
It makes me so mad that all the Hollywood movies show that becoming a wheelchair user is a burden, and don’t get me started on the movies where an abled bodied soul becomes disabled and kills them self to prevent becoming a burden.
As if we should feel that way??
Tell my husband I’m sorry but he is stuck with my disabled ass for life 🤷🏻♀️
